NE3-73 ----vs---- Nord Stage Classic 88

So I have a NE3-73 and I love it, but I have a chance to get a Nord Stage Classic 88 for around $1800 and was thinking about it. Wanted to hear some thoughts and opinions around it. Would it be a step back or a step forward. I know I would love the syths and pitch modulator for live shows of the Classic but would it lack anything that my NE3 has now? Thanks for you input in advance!

1.Yes,You would miss the sample compatibility, have far less piano memory and have a worse leslie sim.

but it would have synth that is great for synth leads and bass!(the synth on the EX is so good that the only problem is patch memory. However I save all my patches on computer and flash anyway.)

If you had both, you would have the best of all worlds. I gather the E3 organ is better by a nadge, the snag is that any forthcoming new Rhodes/Clav/Wurly sounds are likely to be BIG. When I say big I mean BIG. This will be the "sell your EX's and buy a 2EX" sort of business thinking.

The classic still is a hell of a tool. The synth is a serious bit of kit. The splits and things are great. As it is the Classic is still a very very good board.

I would keep the NE3. Sample playback and a very improved B3 + leslie beats it for me. The NS 88 is only better if you prefer playing pianos.
