need ethereal sounding pad from my stage 2

i am very frustrated with the stock syth sounds in my stage 2. It seems i just cant get this very common pad sound i need for a praise and worship band i play with. I can only explain the pad as a smooth ethereal sound that is used a ton in modern praise music. If you played or listen to this music you know what it is..Its definatly more of a newer synth sound then the fizzy sounding vintage analog pads that are in the nord. Its not a string patch and its not voices...I checked out the nord library, but once again it seems the options are more of the same fizzy sounding vintage anolog stuff..For the other gigs i use my stage for i love it, but then im mostly using pianos,ep's and hammond..no problem there. Its just a little frustrating when the music pastor asks me to recreate that sound w/ my big fancy red keyboard and i can't do it. Any suggestions?

Please post a soundclip or Youtube link illustrating exactly the sound you need and I will see what I can do to help you.

Not being a worship player, I am not familiar with the sound you describe, but if you could provide some examples, I would be glad to try to program it for you.

Believe me, the Nord Stage two is capable of a large variety of sounds if you spend time with it.

ok will do...i am definatly lame when it comes to any kind of synth programming. i know this is a sound easily got on a motif or a korg triton or kronos..will look for a sound example and post...thanks

Most of these samples are perfect or what i need. Now how do i get sounds like this into my stage? I know this might sound like a dumb question, but like i said i am really lame when it comes to the technical stuff..I see the the file attachments included with the sound bytes. Can i get them in my stage and how? Would i also be able to get them into my electro 3? I have downloaded some different piano samples into my electro 3 from the nord library so im not completely helpless. all i really need is a couple of them to cover the worship song needs..

Thanks for that clip.

All of the pads mentioned above are excellent starting points for you to tailor the sound you want.

I think I can come up with a patch that will be useful for you, combination of voice, string, synth.

just loaded Pad 2 "flying high" into my electro.. it is definitely very much along the lines of what im looking for...going to set up my stage 2 next and gets some of this goodness into that baby... i never realized that there was all these home grown samples out there that go beyond nords offerings..it's been a real eye opener and only make me love these red beautys even more!
