Using the drawbars as midi controllers

Post by flmc59 »

Today I manage to "Marry" my C2d and my Yamaha motif es rack.
I use the B set drawbars on the lower as volume control = drawbar function
I have set up a multi on the Motif as follows
Drawbar 1 = Double bass for lower manual splitted (in motif)
Drawbar 2 = Rhodes (same octave as 888 000 000) split in motif (for use with db1)
Drawbar 3 = empty now
Drawbar 4 = Rhodes (same octave as 008 800 000) no split
Drawbar 5 = Rhodes (same octave as 888 000 000) no split

Bass 8' drawbar - double bass sound on channel 3. This sound is set at high volume so I only have to pull it to 3.

I will have to rely on db set A for the organsounds since the B set is now used for controlling the extra sounds.
Rhodes sounds blends well with the organ sounds.
The trick is to let the organ dominate the sound
