Help!
Looking to change the Patches on our Nord Lead 3 remotely via Ableton Live 8.3.4.
I have a set of 7 songs all in one timeline. I am inserting an empty clip before each song that will change the patches on our external (MIDI) instruments to the ones used in the song.
I was able to get it to work on our miniKorg, but im having trouble with the Nord Lead 3.
The saved patches for each song are in one 'performance' in performance mode. How would these correspond to the Bank, Sub Bank, & Patch values in Ableton?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all.

If you want to change sounds in Performance mode, make sure the synth is in Performance mode and then use Sub-Bank (1 or 2) and Program (1 thru 128) and send to the Global MIDI channel.

If you want to change sounds in normal mode, make sure the synth is not in Performance mode and then use Sub-Bank (1 thru 8) and Program (1 thru 128) and send to each individual slot's MIDI channel.

The difference is that in performance mode you have a single sound with four parts, while in normal mode you have four slots each with their own sound.

Btw. I think I use Bank and Program on most of my other synths, not Sub-Bank and Program. Also, you cannot switch Sub-Banks without also sending a Program.
