Roland EV 5 does not go all the way to zero. E3HP

I have a Roland EV 5 expression pedal and for volume it will not go all the way to no sound when I put my heel to the floor.
I have also tried a Korg expression pedal with same result. the volume gets lower but never to "off".
Has anyone had the same experience and if so what is the solution? I have tried changing the controls on the pedal but nothing seems to work.

Try setting the pedal mode to Roland EV7. Something similar happens on the NS2 with the ev5. I hope you manage to fix it.

If you are talking about volume as in the Organ Swell, I also see the same effect, I think that this is by design to follow the emulated organs. If not please correct me.
Note that the pedal does go from 0% to 100% when setting it on the System panel, but the volume does not go to silent.
In the latest OS, you have also an offset for those cases where the EV5 does not behave right, but in my case it still works better when I set it to EV7 mode as Gustavo suggested (i.e. I see no flickering when used as a CTRL pedal to morph parameters).

That is indeed correct - when using it as Organ Swell, it will never hit silence, and that is by design to stay true to an organ's behavior. Otherwise it should hit zero, as a control pedal - try EV-7, try the little knob on the side of the EV-5 which controls the lower setting, sometimes that can mess you up as well.

Hi,
In the last OS v1.70 for NS2, Nord added a "gain" option, just after the ctrl pedal setting option, in the system menu.
I have tried different gains, tried to use the "EV-7" setting instead too, checked my threshold knob on the pedal, opened the pedal and fixed the pedal position on the potentiometer, and still have some problems, can't reach 0% or can't go full 100%, set to "EV-7" is not linear, set to "EV-5" is flickering (this is audible and annoying when morphed to a volume). It can go well for a while between 5% and 100%, then I have to open it again a few days later I can't go more than 90%. When I touch (no pressure) the potentiometer with my finger, it goes 100%. I checked to wires, they are connected. Should I add a resistor ? or cut a finger ?
You're not alone Corey

Frantz.
