I just came across this link:

http://terzmagazin.de/terz/creative-commons-libraries

There are some interesting samples in there.
The Natural Concert Guitar looks very interesting.

Thank you for this link Mr-G
I was curious and found a guitar sample in my Nord.
It is : NylonGit__DVv4 (from Nord Sample Library)
Here is my program with, merges with the Italian Harpsi :
Fe Guitar.ns2p
(547 Bytes) Downloaded 698 times
Do you think we have the rights to put the sample from terz into Nord Sample Editor ?

A configuration file (in "sfz" format, for the linux sampler I guess) is in the download.
I'm not sure what to do with fret noises and other similar samples that make the whole thing more "alive".
Technically maybe the Nord Wave 3 and the Nord Stage 3 will allow us to have similar parameters :

Code: Select all

<region>
sample=mf-natural-concert-guitar-samples-ogg\mf-nylon-guitar-fretnoise10.ogg
lorand=0.900
hirand=0.920
amp_veltrack=40

//========================
<group>
pitchlfo_freq=4
ampeg_release=0.100
effect1=18
pitchlfo_depthcc1=20
ampeg_releasecc72=20

<region>
sample=mf-natural-concert-guitar-samples-ogg\mf-nylon-guitar-e2-pp1.ogg
lokey=c2
hikey=f#2
hivel=60
seq_length=3
pitch_keycenter=e2

That sounds very good. Thanks. I shall look for that sample in the Nord library.

I would have thought so. Here is what the CC is about.
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
Note that some samples have a different version of the CC license but they are very similar.
Basically -as I understand it- one needs to be clear about authorship and license terms to others.
It is a very fair license, I think.

Well one can put them at the end of the keyboard, where the instrument stops being sampled.
I think it is the Roland Supernatural patches that have an alternative controller button (is that right?) that allows for these sounds to be mixed with the main sample.
I can't think of another way of doing this other than with 2 slots, but I can't think of an easy way to switch slots while playing (a MIDI pedal perhaps?).

Hm... I do not want to even think about it! :) but I guess something like this must be supported in the closed Nord sample format.
