Assigning 2 pianos to different kb zones

Hello everyone,

I own a Nord Stage 2.

Now, I know that you can only assign different instruments to different kb zones, but I was wondering if there was maybe some kind of workaround?
To assign different programs using the same instrument (piano in my case) to different kb zones and play them simultaneously?

Let me tell you what it is that I want to do.

Ideally, I would like to play a piano sound + delay in the lower range, i.e. with my left hand and a piano sound no delay in the upper range, i.e. with my right hand.

Is there anything I can do to make it work?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Use both slots A and B and select the same piano in each. In each slot you can set the two pianos with separate kbd zones and different effects however you like.

On my Stage EX 76 "slot A and B" are labeled "Panel A" and Panel B". This works like a charm! Thanks Red Leo!

Thanks a lot for your advice RedLeo! I'll make sure to try and make it work as soon as I figure out how to set the same piano in each slot??!!

I'm sorry if this is a really newbie question, I am actually jsut getting started with NS2...and I've been over the manual and Google a thousand times and can't figure out why it doesn't work for me...

I can set, say, Grand Piano in slot A and then add the Organ or Synth in Slot B, this works fine.

But whenever I try to set the same (Grand Piano) or even an Electric piano in Slot B by clicking on the slot B button, nothing happens! There is just no sound coming out at all.
As soon as I switch back to slot A -- I have my piano of course. Then Slot B again >> nothing (except if I activate the Synth or Organ sections) :(

How is it exactly that I'm supposed to set the same Grand Piano for instance in Slot B? I press Slot B and then....?

Or maybe there is something in the System or Sound settings of NS2 that I need to do?

Thanks a LOT for all the help!

EUREKA!

I just needed to put the Output Routing in Program mode and it worked! I then of course managed to set up the same piano in both Slots and split the kb into zones just like I needed to! !!

Thanks a million again!

output routing has nothing to do with that, but glad to learn that you achieved what you wanted to
