hey Octopus,

I haven't yet try the app with the camera connection kit, i've been using it via iRig midi. So far so good! It does, basically, what it says it does. Very easy to organise setlist and programs on NS2. I pretty much sync all the songs with programs on NS2 so that each time I select whatever song, the NS2 will automatically change to the program for that particular song.

'Best app ?'

well, a lot of people on this topic had mentioned the Yamaha Setlist Organiser, although I have never tried it cos I live in Thailand and the app isn't available on the mighty Thai itunes store, for some stupid reason!

the other app that is TouchOSC, I just downloaded it couple of days ago and it kept me quite busy for a big while! Although I wouldn't say that this app is similar to SetlistMaker. It wasn't build to be a 'Setlist' kind of app, it's more like a controller type thing. You can design your own interface using their software for computer, which is a lot of fun! For me I'm gonna use it to quickly jump to certain sound/program during a rehearsal of a jam session. But I wouldn't make a whole list with this app, as you can't really edit the app itself without a computer. ...I don't know if what i just said there make any sense, perhaps you can try it for yourself.

well, if you want something for organising setlist and/or NS2 programs, i'd say SetlistMaker is a perfect app to go for. But if you wanna have some fun, with funky-wacky-looking controls that you can design for yourself, then TouchOSC can be a good choice.

Hi Octopus

yes, the Camera-connector works with setlist maker.

For me is it the best app for working live. i used also the Yamaha Setlist. That app looks more "professional" but the handling of different lists is not really easy. You have always to type the songs new for each list. In setlistmaker you have a "Store" for your songs and can take it for a new setlist very easy. One thing is better in Yamaha app - if you have to change often the sound on your keyboards, you can programm this. In setlistmaker you can do that only in a not so nice way, but it works also. Setlistmaker can be a master for two or more iPads via Bluetooth or Wlan live on stage. So my Git-man see on his iPad the same as me :-) So we use my iPad for changing sounds in three keyboards, two Gitar-Amps and two Vocal-Processors via Midi. it works defently fine.

Hey Nordi,

I just emailed Arlo, the creator of SetlistMaker, the otherday and he told me that in the next update, early 2013, he will include the option of sending multiple midi messages during a song, which means you will have that function of changing programs in the middle of a song, very similar to Yamaha's!

you will think i'm crazy! haha!

I found this to be extremely handy!

http://www.rammount.com/Products/Suctio ... fault.aspx

it's a mounting unit for ipad using the suction cup, the one use in car. I mount it on the side of my NS288HA, works perfectly well! and it doesn't get lose!

it's a little out there but besides the fact that your ipad won't be centred with the NS2, I'm very happy with it!

I use the K&M Spider pro Stand for my keyboards http://www.thomann.de/de/km_18860_spide ... chwarz.htm.
on top of the spider is a screw for microfon. i have a nice holder for the iPad for using this screw. http://www.thomann.de/de/millenium_ipad_stand_3_8.htm Works perfectly, i am never afraid of my iPad. and the display is always good to see.

I use Setlist Maker and it rocks. I hold my iPad with the IK Multimedia iKlip. They make one for the ipad and one for the iphone.

Hi Soratach
what do you think, maybe we can arouse interest by Arlo for a Nord Stage Soundmanager for iPad? I have also often contact him, he is very open for new things.
