Velocity issue with Cubase

Post by Mothaba »

Hi !

I have an issue hitting the maximum velocity in Cubase 5.1 : no matter how hard I press the keys, the max velocity is 124 instead of 127.

I first supposed it was due to aftertouch which in a way or another messed things up. But I tried Ctrlr and I checked : the Nord Stage 2 can go up to 127.
I tried Cubase with other keyboards and they all can hit max velocity.

has anyone already had the same issue ? Is it a setting in Cubase ?

Does Cubase have functionality where you can modify the velocity of incoming MIDI notes? I know Ableton Live does, but you specifically have to enable that.

Weird problem.
