Hello, I'm totally new to this forum.
I just bought a used Nord C1 in mint condition. I payed around 700 Euro/900 Dollar.
I think it is a very great deal, what do you think?

I'm wondering about the swell effect, is it only activated when i have an expressionpedal connected?
I'm also wondering if i can use a pedal called Lead Foot LFX-1 to control the swell?
(It is a very cheap pedal)

And the Leslie pedal has to be a pedal with on/off status, I mean it stays on or stays off every second time I press it?

I have one of those too and it worked fine for me as an expression pedal on my Stage 2, so I assume it would work fine as a swell pedal. I think you need to select Fatar (FR) as the pedal type. It definitely has a different range as the Roland, Yamaha and Ernie Ball pedals - if you could only select those, you wouldn't have full range.

The swell effect is only present when a swell pedal is used.
From my point of view you should always use one.
And remeber to play with the pedal far back. Raise the master. When you have the pedal at max you should be tol loud. Max swell is an effect, it should not be the permanent state of affairs
