Distortion & Overdrive

Hi all,
Although the ND already has quite punchy sounds of its own, I wanted to experiment with some overdrive and distortion;
Just to share my experience:
I have a Line6 POD2.0 lying around and tried it out - also has a nice red colour, but other than that I found it is a very BAD match with the ND!
In contrast to other drummachines, with the ND there was a constant crackling noise (as if playing a dusty LP record), even with volume of the ND down.
No idea what is causing it, filtering out high frequencies from the ND output did help..
However; I am quite happy with the results I got with the all analog Boss ROD-10 !!!!!!
Unfortunately, it's a hard to come by piece of 80s technology, so my tip is probably not very useful for most...
Cheers,
Albert
