Donna Summer - I feel love

When playing around with the ARP and LFO recently I was trying to recreate a more modern, almost technoish version of a real Synth classic, changing the timing of the original riff a bit.
While from 1977, it certainly was a massive Synth sound at the time and still is.
So I was trying to get at least some bits and pieces of the Moog Modular Feast for a single player, obviously a "Himmelfahrtskommando", but nevertheless, and interesting to see how far the NS2 can take you (in particular without a (Step-)Sequencer.
One big issue is the Sync of the Arpeggiator: If I don't hit the "one" within very few microseconds of the first beat it gets out of Sync. I tried also with Masterclock, Sync via USB-MIDI (the problem got worse!) maybe Ill try MIDI-DIN, slowing it to 80bpm, but still. Not really sure what's going on. Based on simple Sawtooth, I like the fatness of the sound. Fun to play around, but the sync issue keeps me for the moment from using it live...must have played it 50 times but once you miss it by a splitsecond it takes time to get back

Hi Joannes, funny... I tried to build the same patch and incurred in the same issue; if I ever will have to play that song, either I play the bass line myself (joking!) or I would use an external arpeggiator (better if on my iPad)

I had a go at this song some time back with the Stage 2. The limitations of the arpegiator in the Stage 2 make it very difficult to replicate the song exactly which previously led me to conclude that I had to manually play it. I have attached two files, one with the manual version (GLv4) and the other with arpegiator (GLv6). It's getting the double note at the front that is difficult and made more challenging by the fact that the LFO does not reset when you play the song. The option of LFO key sync is certainly something we could do with for this song and for the Stage 2 in general.

I used delay and LFO filtering to help create some of the sound and have also added the option to use TREM by moving the mod wheel

I've added some audio examples playing manually and with arp.

As you can see in this video, actually you don't need a NS2 nor any automation to play that song, just a... Flea! :D
