About the "unofficial" nature of this forum

Dear all:

since there have been some recent discussions about the nature of this forum and in particular the relationship with Clavia, we the Admins and Moderators of this forum thought it would be useful to clarify some things.

First of all, this forum is a purely private user forum of and for Nord Keyboard users, players, and musicians in general. We have no link whatsoever with Clavia or distributors of Nord products. That is, you cannot expect to get official responses, statements, or assistance. Rather, we are all fellow users who devote some of our free time to discuss with other fellow members of this forum.

Nevertheless, representatives of Nord and their affiliates might check this website and engage in discussions with users, including providing assistance if they have the time and feel it could be useful. Their contributions are of course greatly valued and contribute greatly to the overall user experience.

To make this independent nature of the forum more salient, we put our heads together and by using a new logo on the website restating the "Unofficial" in the title, we hope to avoid further misunderstandings.

If you are in the need of support from Clavia or their distributor in your country, I strongly suggest to contact them directly via their support form (http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?t ... al_support) which will be sent automatically to Nord directly as well as your distributor.

But of course it is always a good idea to search this forum or other websites about experiences of other users which can give you hints of how to solve particular problems since your questions might have been asked (and answered) by others already. And we are very grateful to the large number of members that make this forum a very useful resource! :thanks:

In my experience, they are very prompt to respond, patient, polite and precise.

I've contacted them twice and have been answered within 24 hours each time.
First time, I wasn't even a customer yet. Moreover, the answer could have easily been found on their website, and yet they answered me personally.
Second time resulted in a week-long conversation about my issue, which turned out was only me being a total noob and yet they still didn't seem to mind.

So, I concur: don't hesitate to contact them, they are extremely cool.

My country's distributor, on the other hand, while very prompt and polite too, was not very accurate or well informed.
