Piano Versions

Just a little speech on Nord piano versions:In my Ex I have loaded several versions of pianos. The first obvious difference between versions 4 and 5.30 is that the electric pianos are considerably smaller.5-7 MB.However in version 5.30 the updated electric pianos are 10-14 MB.There is also a difference in acoustic piano sizes..{Sure the resonance is not as advanced but it is noticeably louder in 4.00?}. On the other hand there are also quality differences. The Acoustic and Electric Pianos have more punch and velocity in 5.30. The Frequency response is generally smoother for most pianos in 5.30.In 4.00 for example there is a problem note that occurs in Studio Grand close XL on A3 at certain velocities. These kind of notes are almost non-existent in 5.30.Mixing and matching pianos allowed me (an EX user) to use more at once.

!Older piano versions will not work on the Nord Stage 2!
Anybody else have something to add?

 Heres a very simple description of some of the newer grand samples.Bright Grand:Gives that punch needed in many styles and live playing.Xl Imperial:Large sound, dark, great presence through all velocities.Grand Lady D:nice for classical or ambient music.(however I feel It lacks alot in the softer end which a true Stienway produces). The rest are described quite well on the nord site.

The Rain piano with string resonance and some Eq is a nice way to get a dark piano tone.Add some reverb and it's perfect for Christmas background music.
The Romantic upright also has a nice ring.
But for something powerfull use the Queen.
