Hello All,

I'm Looking into getting a bass pedal for my Nord C2, I noticed that the hardware configuration of the Nord PK27 and the Roland PK25 is close.
Has anyone tryed usind the C2 with Roland PK25 Bass pedals????can it work ???

Yes, the PK25 works great. I believe they are now called the PK25A.

All you do is plug the pedals in to the midi in on the C2, and everything works perfectly.

Two words of caution: the Hammond XK series pedals do not work with C2. Also, the Hammond Pro XK bench (the metal-legs one) is not compatible with PK25A, because the legs are not far enough apart to fit over the kickboard of the pedals. Currently trying to find a way to work around this. I will probably just build a bench out of plywood...

Good luck with the bench, I intend to use my original Hammond B3 bench (Yes I forgot to nention I also have a B3....)

I am trying to hook up my Hammond XK pedals to my c2d Not a clue on how to do this. I guess they're not all plug and play? I did notice that on the expression pedal base which attaches to the wooden pedals there are two receptacles one marked midi out takes a standard midi cable,the other one marked expression takes a different connector which although round like the midi one has 7 pins.

Right, Hammond uses a proprietary standard for the expression pedal. They have been doing that since the XB-2 in the 1990s. Unfortunately I don't know of a way to work around that issue.

Since buying the Nord C2D I packed my XK3c pro XK sytem back into the road cases. Of course the Hammond XK25 pedal clavier is heavy and expensive so I was hoping that I could use that instead of buying the Nord pedalboard which is also very expensive for what it is. Oh well I guess I'll pack the Hammond pedals away to. and save up for the Nord.

You could also midify an old pedal, probably way cheaper, but nowhere as portable as the Nord

I have done it to an a100 set.
With wheels on the end they are easy to move around.

It seems like MIDI pedal sets, from any manufacturer, no matter how many notes, are very expensive and hard to find. The Roland pedals have multiple functions and are velocity sensitive and stuff, but $1600 for twenty notes? Wow. Thats $80 a note!
