but when i link it to my NS2, the volume changes only between 97% and 100%

Can you explain how to set up this pedal in my NS2?

You need to select the right pedal type in the System menu; I think EV-5 is one of the options, not completely sure though. The manual doesn't list it, but I vaguely remember seeing that option for Ctrl Pedal Type.

There's also a thread about people having problems with the EV5-: possibly because of dirt in the pot in it.

If you have a multimeter, you could measure if the pedal is working correctly (w.r.t. this volume problem).

My EV-5 worked fine with my electro 2 but it was always kinda weird on the Nord Stage 2, even after tweaking the menu. I ended up buying a Yamaha FC-7 which I have to say is an infinitely better expression pedal in every way and works great with the NS2.

My FC-7 squeaks very very loudly.

I want it to stop it.

did you check the morph programming?!?! maybe you accidentally set the range between 97 and 100..... is it doing it for all programs?

Check the knob on the side of the EV-5, that limits how low the low point goes.

It needs some lubrication ;) I use some vaseline for my FC-5.
(WD-40 becomes dry too quickly)

I used to use the FC-7.
Now I use a Boss FV-500l. I think this is a slightly better better pedal, somewhat larger, made out of some kind of aluminum? or similar material, very sturdy with a dedicated output for Expression pedal which should use a TRS plug. Also, it has 2 ins & Outs for routing audio signals in a more conventional fashion.

Hello everyone.

Taking advices from this thread, I just bought myself a Boss FV-500L pedal for my NS2 (to use as control/expression). It doesn't work ! Or rather, its range only goes from 93% to 100%. I've tried to set the right pedal type in the NS2's menu, but the FV500 isn't listed, and none of the list's entries will help.

RB4U1: how did you manage to make it work ? (and yes, I've tried turning the knob next to the tuner output around... It only narrowed the range even more.)

OBDave can you help? I have the FC7 and in the system setup on the NS2 (either CTRL or Swell) the FC7 range only goes 0%-93 or 94%! If i switch to any other pedal type it goes to 100%. I tried adjusting the screw on bottom but doesnt seem to change it...
