Dumb Questions

Hey new here, apologies if this is in the wrong place

I have a few questions!

My stage 2 73 arrived today, it is amazing

1. I have removed some sounds and replaced them with sounds from the library, however they are still on the keyboard just silent and the sample number counter is flashing?

2. Also when you are selecting a sample, how come it doesnt show on the display, only a sound from one of the banks?

Thanks

1) they are not on the keyboard, rather a program is associated with them, and the number is flashing to tell you the sound is missing from the program you are trying to access.

2) not sure what you mean..

Welcome to the forum! Enjoy your new stage :)

Thanks man, does that mean I need to fully delete the program on Sound Manager?

Sorry i mean when you are toggiling through samples in the synth section, on the main display it doesnt show the sample just whatever already existing program was loaded

Programs do not take up the memory section for sounds, so you dont need to delete them to free up space. But if you dont like them, then get rid of them...note that Program Bank D is a copy of A, so if you leave one of those two, you can have the programs for future reference...otherwise they are on Nord's site...the Program is just a list, saying 'use sound A + B', or whatever, and they have their own dedicated space...

The synth sound flashes in the display when you go through the list, are you just missing it?? EDIT: by 'missing' I mean blinking at the wrong time, or looking away when it flashes....

This is flashing because you have deleted a piano or rhodes model that the program was using, just click on Model type button to reassign something.

To load a sample you downloaded, init synth sound by pushing Shift + Synth init above the screen, and Shift + load sound in Osc from th synth section, and use the rotary button to select a sample that matches to the one you downloaded in the sound manager.
