Herbie Hancock - Chameleon

Hey everyone,

Recently in my band we decided to play chameleon and it was a little bit tricky to get the bass sound right and even though it does sound different from the album version, I think it sounds just right. No samples are needed, just clav. It has a morphable upper section (control pedal) to morph between lead and clav.

I just noticed that the bass is in legato, which makes it sound a little bit weird, but just changed it to mono and since I am lazy, I did not change the mp3 :P

So here you go, the file is bass+clav in real time and the lead was just recorded over:
Just FYI I based myself off this:

I have since played Chameleon several times and always with the clav+bass+lead configuration. But yesterday after a 6 month hiatus I had a jam session with my band. I always record any rehearsal, and I dont usually upload things like these anymore, but I saw the thread replay and I just had to share this:
If I recall and listened correctly I only use the B3 engine of my NS2 SW. :keyboard:

For anyone interested, it was recorded by my Zoom Q3HD in my small "live room". I used a pair of Electro Voice ELX112P speakers, a 4 channel behringer mixer, and guitar, bass and keyboards went through that.

Saludos,
Gustavo
