Mixin with midisofware

I am mixin panning in my NL3 rig. I am using the NL sound manager and MIDIOX software and it is no problem to set the panning of each performance to left or right. The problem is just that when I save the performance - only way to do that is to push the store buttom twice, it does not stick! When i play the saved performance the sound is just like before.
Does anyone knows if it is possible to save patches and performances that is chanched by external MIDI software?

Memory protection? page 119? of course turned off. Page 129? I have a few manuals with different layouts? Do you mean "some notes about chasing"? That is for working with sequenser, That is not what I mean I mean to save the changes when sequencer is turned off..
Or...

Well, I guess the NL saves the real setting of the parameter, not a virtual one by incomming Midi. Try the setting by turning the knob and back and save again. What happens?

Well the cc message I am working with is CC11 - panning and there is no knob for that. I I am using another CC message as sustain ( which there is a knob for) or velocity, it defaults to what I set the knob to , under the condition I save it first , of course.
It says in the instruction book that the only way to change the pan settings is from an external software. But They did not say you could not save it...

You won't be able to save MIDI messages as part of your performance. If there is no onboard control for pan, then there is nothing you can save.

Nice try, but sadly...

However, if you're sequencing , there's nothing to stop you sending the MIDI messages you need as part of your sequence, of course.

Well...the idea is to play live un independent of a time line in the DAW... I have 3 NL3 's with about 50 programs each with different mixes, It would be ashame if it was not possible to make individual pans mixes for each program...must be a way ://

I don't think so. You are basically saying that every MIDI CC# should be stored in a program of any synth rather than the only parameters it uses to construct a program.
This is certainly not the case. Can you imagine a monophonic/one outupt synth storing pan information?

Don't flame me when wrong, but there is a small Midi tool develloped once to the Nord Modular Classic which is Windows based and has a modular structure. You can construct a Patch in it with Midi CC controllers, so all can be saved. Just a laptop on stage and it will give you a complete setting of all the parameters and it can be saved on the computer...
It is called Midi Mod and it is freeware...
