Dear colleagues,
can anyone help me with a crazy idea? I'd like to play waltz accompaniment with my left hand (like in a Viennese waltz) on my NS4: my little finger should play the double bass, while the other fingers play, for example, horns. I can't manage this using a split finger. I wouldn't know how to do it using velocity. Does anyone have any ideas or tips for me?

The 'low' mono function in the synth section play only the lowest note played so you could do that for the bass while adding another synth layer for your horns.

like Tony wrote you can use this feature (lowest note for Bass) because the Nords don't have a sophisticated sample-usage (only one velocity-layer) For this you have to use Kurzweil, Roland, Yamaha or Korg...

There was a hack in creating Nord user samples in the Nord Editor where you could assign velocity ranges to each of your nsmp3.
Unfortunately, this is not possible for nsmp and nsmp4. Shame as this could have been an interesting feature making use of the 3 layers of the Stage 4.
