Sampler app for ipod

Hi all, just a quick off-topic question. I sometimes need to play samples (sound effects like voices, thunder etc.) during the gig while playing my dual keyboard setup (Nord Electro 3/Roland JV-1010 with midi controller). I was thinking of controlling the samples thru my ipod touch, I found a ringtone app that allows 25second samples but it's not very userfriendly. Anybody knows of a simple app to record and playback samples for the ipod ideally with large preset buttons?

Thanks

Hi shark,

No solution, but just a few (constructive I hope) ideas/remarks :
If you trigger the sounds via midi ( with iRIG MIDI for instance) you'll have to get a "midiCore" compatible app.
You may have a look at Akai synthstation too.

Thanks Petrounic: downloaded the app I'll check it out.

Thanks frantzkb: good advise but I really don't want to add to my rig that's why I am looking for an ipod-based solution; it's only for a handful of samples...

I think KASB Sound Player is what you're looking for.

A big iOS fan here and though they have been out for a very long time now, there are still things that would be better solved and checked if you are using a hardware device that is to work within you needs.

Not sure about a sampler for the iPod but I would likely think that would be just fine and be able to hold its own, right?
