Yes, I saw that too, and I just listened to the demos on the Nord website and watched the YouTube video. I'm not sure yet whether I find them useful or not; it's hard to tell from the demos, but I'll definitely try them out by loading them onto my Nord Stage 3 and testing them.

Yeah me too. Im finding myself using more brass lately and im going to give these a try.

I sometime just need to mimic pop brass sections, the demo is more like sound textures not realistic brass.
Give me Tower of Power, all the disco/soul stuff, Valerie. and all others
Still think the Pop section 3 does do this pretty well in a live band context, perhaps with some other sound layered (extra analog brass/trumpet in other octaves).
But I will try them out this weekend

Would be happy for your feedback to load those samples for the Stage 3 as they seem to be only available in nsmp4 format


My bad, they are indeed available for Stage 3 as well as Stage 2 ! Very good news !!

I found the Supreme Soul Marcato useful for a few tunes. Nice, fat sound. I think all the samples are very nicely done.

Excited to test these out later. Given they were done in partnership with E Instruments, these are probably taken from NI's Session Horns Pro and layered into predefined sections.
Soul and Modern seem the most useful to me based on demos.
Right now I've been using a custom brass sample stack with a few Yamaha sounds layered. Plays nicely and sampled at every whole step so the timbre is smooth across the range. These should theoretically sound better, if the samples are consistent across the keyboard.

Each section features six different articulations: Sustain, Sustain Soft, Fortepiano+swell (Fp), Marcato, Staccato and a combination Marcato+Soft (MrcSoft) sound, the latter being especially useful on Nord instruments without multiple Sample Synth layers.

It's only me that extrapole this message, or it means we will have soon Nord instrument with multiple sample layers?

answering myself... sorry was wrong, without multiple sample layers simply means Electro..

I think it is just the attack and soft samples layered, which is common to do separately but now you can do this with only one layer instead of two.
