"The Lunchbox" from Boss Organ

Post by lawman »

Can anyone recommend for or against The Lunchbox tube preamp from Boss Organ (or offer an informed opinion)? I will be routing the organ engine of a Nord Stage 4 into a Leslie 122H Heritage and want to get some nice drive at moderate volumes without actually overdriving the Leslie itself. In addition, would The Lunchbox make my Lounsberry Tall & Fat superfluous?

Tube preamps have their own sound. Software emulation gets close, but never really nails it. The Lunchbox delivers classic tube tones, and perhaps a bit more. Maybe it was the demo, but I found many of the sounds exaggerated and not for general use. Yes, I believe it makes your T&F superfluous. I'm sure it'll sound amazing!
I think I have gear issues ....
