Got one of these on order: Radial Highline Stereo D.I. https://www.radialeng.com/product/highline-stereo

This will be replaceing a Mackie Stereo Direct box that I sometimes used 2 short XLR's to a Radial Mix 2:1 box when merging to mono was required.

Like to have a couple monitors in stereo near me with the D.I. Thru's, but send the un-colored Nord outputs directly to the stereo DI for the PA. Lots of time the PA guy doesn't have enough channels or refuses to take a stereo signal. I don't like the Mono button on the keyboard itself. I don't think it sounds right, and I'm told merge cable is bad for the PA, and I don't want Phase issues.

The Highline Stereo has a ground lift and a button to sum the XLR outs to Mono and another button if you want to sum your Thru's to Mono. It's all high quality isolated components. The Radial Support guy says the line level outputs of the Nord will be perfect with this unit.

It's the first Passive direct box I've heard of, with the right features.
