Dual Manuals: Vertical Distance

Hello everyone,
I could use some help with my jury-rigged, Electro-powered Hammond clone.
I am using a Nord Electro 6D 73 as the upper manual, and a 61-key M-Audio controller as the lower manual. I like the setup, and am trying to make it as ergonomically accurate as possible.
I currently have the two boards resting on top of each other using a K&M stand with a couple of stackers attached. Due to the thickness of the stackers and the boards, the vertical distance between the tops of the lower white keys and the tops of the upper white keys is just under 4", and I wondered how this compared to a real Hammond or a true dual-manual clone like the Nord Organ 3. If the distance is absurdly large, I might try to modify the stackers.
Thanks in advance,
AG
