Monitors V2 static noise / hiss

Yo! I've got a Nord Grand and I've just bought Monitors V2 and the hiss is important. It comes down to the fact that they are at max volume fixed. But for indoor use I don't need this kind of volume. Is there an internal pot to reduce max volume?

If this is an option, you could use a cable like this an feed the AUX input:

If the hiss is audible also with no input, using Aux IN will not help unfortunately.

It would be interesting to know if other Nord Monitor owners have the same issue or it is a problem specific of the OP’s monitors (which in that case should be repaired/replaced, particularly if they are still under warranty)

I had the same issue with my first pair of Nord monitors. There was an annoying constant hiss coming from the speakers from the moment I switched them on. I sent them back and got another pair that had not this hiss. As far as I remember, they were other users who had the same problem. Apparently an issue with Pro Audio’s quality control or production consistency.

There is still a basic noise coming from the speakers, that’s comparatively low in volume and not disturbing in any way. It’s approximately the same level of noise that for example, my Neumann studio monitors are emitting in idle mode.
