Hey all,

sorry if that got answered before. I am confused by the name of the e pianos. Some of them are spelled out differently across the piano library on the website, in my stage 3 and my NS4.

I saw it while recreating some of my patches on the 4 and I am having some trouble getting the same exact sound (using program viewer) and i noticed that the name of the piano don't match...

Have you experienced this yourself? Is there an overview sort of matching thing somewhere?

A distinct example would be great. The EPs are called EP1, EP2 and so forth - so they should be easily discernible. And I don't think that the name would have changed.

As far as I am concerned, I renamed quite a number of samples, and I think that this affected also the displayed name in my Nord.

Thank you. Never mind i think i got confused because of the fact that the EP2 Ideal Close is called Ideal Timbre on my NS4. But as mentioned the number EP2 is a unique identifier for the sounds, but i thought they are numbered in the order they have been uploaded on the nord.

EP1..EP9 are part of the name of the samples. They are probably numbered in order of the date of publication - that's how it works for the Rhodes samples. The acoustic pianos have only emotionally speaking names instead.

But that's only true for the samples which aren't sounds but the base for sound shaping. If you are talking about sounds, I'd rather talk about programs - and those can but won't necessarily be the same on different Nord machines if they have the same name. And of course, you can rename or delete them to your liking - they are nothing but offers for the start. That's at least the way i see it (kept a lot but virtually never used them).
