Hookup to Leslie 760

Just got my nord 3 electro...I've got a leslie 760 and bought a footswitch unit that has a 9 pin leslie connector ...I also bought a preamp.. I'm running a 1/4" jack cord from the output of the nord 3 to the preamp and 9 pin from the preamp to the leslie...the leslie works but doesn't seem to have the power it should... the nord manual doesn't really explain what 1/4" jack to use from the nord 3... there are two..one right and one left ouput...do I need them both hooked together somehow? or just one of them? The leslie plays ok and the footswitch changes the speed ok....just a little confused..it's been a long time since I fooled with organs or leslies....help is greatly appreciated....thanks ..george mc

Welcome to the forums

You'll want to go to System Menu/ Output Routing (item 2) and choose either SO (Separated Output) or SP (Split Output).
Page 18 of the manual has more information.
You run the Left output to the Leslie Combo Preamp and the right to your regular sound system.

As I recall the 760 is a solid state Leslie. Is your Combo Preamp solid state as well?

Thanks for the response and help...the preamp I bought is the ART Tube MP Professional Mic Preamp/Processor
It's tubed I think..at least that what it says.....

What's the difference in the two outputs.. (SO or SP)....??? can I pick either one of the options ???? and then use the left output to leslie and right to another amp??

Yes, either option will send organ left, and pianos/ sample right.
However, SP sends only the Hammond sim Left, and leaves Farfisa/ Vox models going Right.
SO sends all Organs Left including Vox and Farf models.
