Electro 5 Sample Updates

Greetings all, newbie here. Apologies if this has been covered previously but I've had a look around and can't find a specific post.
I bought my 5HP several years ago and have only just got around to updating my piano samples. This was easy enough to do as I only needed a couple of grands (White and Silver), and one each of upright, Rhodes, Wurly and a couple of others. I cleared out my old samples, loaded the new and then edited my piano programs to take the new samples. All well and good and sitting in bank 1.
Now, I want to do the same with the synth samples so that predominantly I end up with better strings, brass and synth pads. However I can't get my head around how to do it, bearing in mind that the programs these use are all over the place.
Are there a new set of samples available to replace the existing ones and do they come with associated programs? Or can I download suitable packs? Which ones do you recommend? Do they come with associated programs? If so how do I store them in banks of my own choice?
I also need to do this for my 5D for predominantly synth lead sounds and orchestral sounds. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
