Bundle Up/Down problems

When I bundle up a bank of programs on one Nord stage (88) and bundle down the same file to a different Nord Stage (73 compact) the preset organ samples sound very different.
I have to make changes after the download to make it sound right.
Any ideas? Is this a known bug.

Assuming both have the same (latest) OS, do you have the same Sound settings for Organ & Rotary (the ones in Sound menu)?
Those are global and as such not saved in the Bundle (and a Vintage 2 sounds pretty different from a Clean, for example).

Yes I checked all the global settings are the same on both keyboards.
The organ is a preset - B3 Gospel 1 and I turned the drive up to full.
But on the second keyboard it sounded awful and I had to turn the drive halfway down.

Sounds like the signal level wasn't the same. Did you have a swell pedal attached on both units?

Hello. This is unfortunate news. I will soon be participating in a festival, and the company providing the sound for the festival has offered me the use of their NS4. But they have 88-key versions. I work on NS4Compact. I will need to transfer my programs to NS4 88. Now I am worried whether I will be able to transfer my programs correctly. It is a big festival, and I don't want anything to go wrong. Apart from the organ issues, will other presets be transferred correctly? I thought that transferring programs from one Nord4 to another would not cause any problems. Taking my instrument with me is not very convenient and not cheap. Are there any other problems with transferring programs from NS 4 compact to NS4 88? Or is it better not to risk it and take my instrument with me?

I wonder if you tried to restore a full backup from the NS4 Compact onto the 88, that would eliminate any possible differences in organ presets and program settings? (I am assuming that a full backup also saves all of the global configuration - if anyone here can confirm?).

I see you own NS3 and NS4... Might you be trying to take bundles from NS3 and bring them to NS4? If the models of Stage you're transferring between are not identical (NS3 to NS3, NS4 to NS4), that's another possible source of difference.

If models are different/incompatible you cannot download the bundle at all actually (so probably the OP gear list is old)

I assumed the NS4 could read an NS3 bundle based on Nord's description at
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/software/ ... d-manager/ :
Conversion is performed automatically as part of a Sound/Bundle Down or drag and drop operation, so in order to for instance download your Stage 3 programs to a Stage 4 simply select them in the Sound/Bundle Down dialog or drag them onto the Program area of the Nord Sound Manager.
But it's nothing I have any personal experience with.

You are right, I forgot they introduced this possibility for NS4 and that indeed would account for a possible difference in sound, due to the parameters conversion
