Nord Electro 2 won't turn on

Hi all, new user here, thanks in advance for your help!
My Electro 2 stopped turning on. How do I know if it's an issue with the power supply or the board? Or just a faulty power cord even? I tried replacing the fuse and it did not help. When I have it plugged in and turned on there is a popping sound when I have my headphones plugged in, so that makes me think that there's some power getting supplied to the board. I've replaced a key and spring before so I know how to open it up, but I'm just wary of spending money to buy a new power supply if that's not the issue. And if it's a new board I need, phew, those are super expensive! I've read some similar posts but a lot of them mention that the panel would light up and I'm not getting any of that. Just dead.
Thanks for any advice on what to try or if you've experienced this before!
