Powered speakers

Hello. I know this may seem that this topic has been covered. I have read many of the posts about amplification for Nords and have amplified my Nords in many ways. I apologize if I am asking a question that have already been answered but my question is a little different. I am looking to buy two powered speakers that IO can use in two ways.
1. As amplification for my Nord Piano 5 and Electro 4 if I'm just the keyboard player and 2. To use the same speakers if called upon to provide PA speaker for small combo with vocals as well as the Nords. So I am looking for suggestions on best combination of sound, value and weight. I have researched QSC, Yamaha And EV and just can't make up my mind. Thank you.

A pair of any of the popular 8" powered units on poles should be fine. They're all pretty good for what they do.

As you spend more to go up in each mfgr's product line, you get a cleaner and more powerful sound, so let your budget be your guide.

A small 12" sub works wonders for both use cases.

I've been using the SpaceStation for years and sometimes a pair of small JBL Eon's but time to upgrade. I have looked at the prices and could afford a couple QSC's but have wondered if they are the best for what I want them for: keyboard sound and general PA if needed.

Hello. thank you for all the comments you have made on this forum. I am still on the powered speaker quest. Any thoughts about the QSC CP8?
Again, my main use is to amplify my 2 Nords, but occasionally use as PA speakers for small combo vocals. Thank you for your time. Mark

I'd see the CP8 as a solid budget solution and considered them for occasional use in church. But would definitely go with the K8.2 if I can afford them.

In fact, I was able to afford them (including tote bags) and use them as my one-and-only monitors. They are great as long as you don't lay them on the floor (not satifying to me).

I bought the CP8s and actually found them out the box to sound better for my Nord keyboards than the K8.2. They won't go as loud for sure, but on the default setting they sounded great for acoustic piano, which is the best test for a speaker. I was surprised at this, but happy, as they cost 40% less.
