Emulator 1 shakuhaki
Hello folks.
Could anyone who has got it, please, upload the famous SHAKUHAKI sound from Emulator 1?
It has been used from a lot of artists, from Enigma in "Sadeness", for example.
NE3 version appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Re: Emulator 1 shakuhaki
I started from a free soundfont, unpacked the "sfark" to "sf2", tried Vienna Soundfont Editor (free if you have a "sound blaster live") ... but could not launch it because "no compatible hardware was detected" (I have two SBLive cards ... that I can't put in my laptop ).
Then I dropped the "sf2" file into Ableton Live, got a nice display of the splits and the aiff files extracted into Ableton's import directory.
I used audacity to "multiple file convert" them to 44100 Hz waves in order to import them into Nord Sample Editor.
I went through the "usual" process : set the mappings, the loops, the instrument settings.
I have no idea of the end result because I do not have my keyboard with me. I'll try the sound tonight. It's 360 092 octets, it may be crap ... but the process was intersting because there are many free soundfounts that could be converted into nsmp.
Edit : new nsmp with correct mapping + demo mp3

Re: Emulator 1 shakuhaki
Thank you very much.
I'll give it a try tonight and let you know.
I agree with afrk61, please can you prepare a short tutorial on how to convert an SF2 into a SNMP?
It would be very interesting..
Cheers.

Re: Emulator 1 shakuhaki
I have Nostalgia, the sound is very similar but has got a very strange attack (with some kind of glitch) that makes impossible whatever musical solo or phraze. You can use it only for few "single" notes, not else. That's why I'm searchin' for a valid alternative.
Cheers.
