How to see EQ values without changing them - stage 4

Is there a way to see what EQ values (in the amp section) I've set in a preset?

I read that you can hold shift down and turn one of the knobs and then the display will show what the currently set level is but that doesn't seem to work on my Stage 4...

There's the Mon/Copy button for that - not the Shift button. Doesn't that work? (I don't own a NS4)

It's not that evident for me why people don't read the manual for things like that: I've got mine always available in the PDF reader.

It's not always evident to me why people assume other people didn't read the manual first before posting, were unable to find the answer and were hoping to come here for help rather than admonishment.....

In fact I read the manual AND did extensive googling....

But thanks anyway - the monitor button provides the solution to my request

Well - I can understand mozart999uks trouble. I´d known from my NordElectro5 that holding the Shift Button and turn the EQ-Poti will show the setting without changing it. I´d also found this option in the NE5 manual. The NS4 offers this function too - in this case with the Mon/Copy Button, but in the manual this option is mentioned in an other way. So you may not be able to find it immedeately. As I already posted at another place in the Forum, the Electro Manual called it "the parameter’s current value to be displayed", while the NS4 say only "what a parameter on the panel is set to". I you´re coming from an Electro and searching for the "wrong" words, you can fail and miss the magic (you know - wood and trees)...

But no troubles - this is where friendly guys in this Forum likes to come and assist - the button has now been specified...

Sorry then for the allegation! I shouldn't have assumed what seemed so likely.

But indeed, sometimes you are just looking for the wrong terms.
