Search function / Nord Forum

How can I search for a term that consists of two words in this forum?
The two words should be searched for in one term and not each word separately.
e.g. B. When I type "Black Upright" there are many hits with "Black" and "Upright", but not a single hit with "Black Upright".

When I type in 'Black upright', I get 6 out of the first 10 results with 'Black Upright', and 4 more where the Black Upright is meant but not fully expressed.
Was this only an example or your issue?

Hi,
got it, right the SQL search engine does not seem to support exact phrase search using quotes.
Testes some others but seems not easily doable without a different search backend.
I would suggest to use google search for that. Just enter on
www.google.com
Code: Select all
"black upright" site:norduserforum.com

This was a general question, "Black upright" was only an example.
But if I put "Black uprigth" in the search field, I get 215 matches in different variation and most of them only includes the name upright and this make not sense, because i am searching for "Black upright" and not for "Black" or "upright":
search.php?keywords=black+upright

That is a good advice, but if I put "Black upright" as above described in "google", only a small amount of matches are shown:

You can also use the NUF Advanced Search
search.php (gear icon near the "Search... box"), there you find options to search for single words or exact phrase, restrict to a given subforum and much more

I tried already the advanced Search, but unfortunately also here I was not able to find the matches for phrases like "Black Upright"...., any advice to put these special characters together with the search term of two words in the right order ?

Hi,
I was trying this and it seems as if all results provided include "Black Upright", not just "Black" or "Upright":

Unfortunatly your advice is also not working (mayby on the first pages), but if you go to the other pages) also matches with only one word "upright" etc. is shown....

Well,
I did a search with +Black +Upright first that gave me 22 pages of results, when I did it as shown in the screenshot the number of pages found went down to 16 so the search is more narrow I think. I don’t think that the search is so sophisticated to provide a 100% exact result though, a kind of manual filtering of the results is still needed but affordable from my point of view
