Expression pedal

Post by shaytavor »

I'm going mad....
I have an expression pedal M-Audio EX-P. I've connected it to the "control pedal" slot. Went to System -> Control Pedals. I don't see there my pedal, but there are 4 other types (Roland, Yamaha and such). They all react to the pedal - when pressing the pedal I see the percentage change. But the pedal has no effect on the volume or any other parameter. How can I assign it to control the volume?
So frustrating

Which Nord Electro model (as this is NE forum) do you have and are connecting the Pedal to?

Check its manual anyway, search for Ctrl Pedal in it and you will see what it can do and how to enable it for its various uses.

Sorry, I forgot to mention- it's nord electro 6.
I've checked the manual but it isn't really informative. Just say to plug it in the control pedal slot... which I did and nothing happens

You need to read the whole manual (not just the connections section) to learn your NE6 and/or at least search for the "pedal" words all over it, however look at the CtrlPed led between the Octave buttons of each section, you need to press "Shift+Octave Up" to toggle it on/off.

Same for the CtrlPed led under Effect1 section.

I have the same problem - I have toggled the pedal on, and the synth recognised it, but I don't know how the set up the effect for it. Also 6d 61
