I am very surprised at this as well. I didn't think Clavia would ever release a new organ.

Wow, very unexpected indeed. Guess we’ll have to wait another year for the NE7. But if it gets the new organ engines I don’t mind the wait.

Did NOT see this coming. Clavia must have done their diligence and found that there is still a market for Hammond clones. I didn't think there was - or more correctly, that there is room for another one to go against Crumar, Viscount, and Hammond itself.
Being a Nord, it's going to cost more than any of them, of course. I found a price listing for US $3300 at Thomann's. That's more than what the others I just mentioned above are charging, but not excessively so. Just Nordish so

So, wow. Here's hoping more surprises are coming down the pike. Like a revamped Electro with a big color screen that doesn't have a 6-year old Grand sample as its lead preset...

i spoke too soon...here in America we will pay more, namely $4300 after taxes. That is an expensive organ. I dunno...for that kind of coin I'd buy a Stage, as I think most people would. Who is this marketed to?

Still seems like a bargain compared to the full XK5 which sits at a higher price once top and bottom manual are in-cart. Nord is upstaging the SK X Pro with this. It'll be interesting to hear how the reworked Farfisa Compact and Vox Continental models sound.

Yep, we already have 3 topics running about the new NO3, maybe moderators should merge them

... Who is this marketed to?
There are not many hammond clones on the market that have 2 manuals, 5 drawbar sets and are reasonably small and light for gigging.
To a pure organist, these features are very important - and rare, therefore they are willing to pay the cost.
Hammond has the XK-5 which is pretty neat and portable and not too crazily expensive (for Hammond's standards).
But when you add the lower manual, it transforms into a huge, 30-kilos, 5500€ behemoth.
Hammond SKX Pro lacks the full drawbar set, is bigger than the Nord Organ 3 and costs about the same (I'm talking Euro prices according to Thomann)
The full-size Viscount Legends are huge pieces of gear, and the Soul version costs even more than the Nord.
The "portable" Legend versions (Live, Soul 261) are still much bigger and heavier than the Nord (and the Soul 261 costs as much).
So yes, it's a very expensive organ but it has a unique price-feature-portability combo.
If the sound is right I think they will sell a lot of them, I believe many musicians trust the Clavia brand more than Crumar or Viscount.
