Help creating this sweeping pad

I am new to synths and the A1 is my first synth I've owned. I would like to create a pad similar to the video where it "sweeps" on its own. Is that a filter sweep? He said self oscillates, not sure what that is.. Thanks.

Also, if anyone knows how to get something similar to the "Synth Pad 1" or "Soft Fifth" pads from the nord sample libraries. It seems those can't be ported into the A1?
