Newest Stage 4 version

What is the newest version of the Stage 4 as of 12/28/24?

Can older versions be brought up to date by updating the o.s. and how difficult is that process?

Thanks in advance.
MD

Latest panel version is v2.3. I have a post following the progression. viewtopic.php?t=23569

All Nord keyboards of the same series (NS, NS2, NS3, NS4) regardless of the minor panel layout variations will run the same OS for their specific series and will function from a sound capability stand point exactly the same. Meaning all NS4 regardless of panel variations are essentially the same and can run the same firmware (OS). There is nothing that a later panel layout will do, that cannot be done on an early panel layout release.

I can‘t agree. I own a Stage 4, Panel Version 1.4 and OS is updated to 1.46.
The Leslie „Close mic“ function, as introduced with panel 2.1 Rev B (I think), is still not available via any botton and not storeable with each single patch. This Parameter is still global.

The actual Manual 1.4x does not describe the behavior of the Stage 4 Panel Version 1.4, probably 2.1 Rev A and earlier.
Please tell me if I‘m wrong. Many thanks.

From that same thread, did you try the below?

This could easily be accessible via some shift function in RevA, but I guess Nord won’t do it because of the missing labeling. Probably not a real hardware change for these features..
It's worth trying for someone with a Rev A. When new button features (shift +) were added to the Stage 3, they worked on mine even though the labeling wasn't there.

then i stand corrected on the close mic function. everything else I stated though is still correct, you can load and run the latest NS4 firmware on any NS4 panel release.

Edit: Just to be clear about the close mic function, its still accessible, its just that its a global function not switchable from the panel and/or per program. (So regardless of Panel version you can produce all of the same sounds from any variation of NS4)

@maxpiano
Many thanks.
Yes I tried it with every OS update. I tried it with shift-funktion, holding the knob long and by changing the global parameter and saving the patch, but it didn‘t work.
We will see if an upcoming OS Version will bring this function for older Stage 4 Panels to enable the same performance to all Panel variations.

OK (so bad it doesn't work), if the difference is just a label and a led should not be so difficult for Nord to implement it somehow..., anyway, it is what it is at least so far, maybe it is worth sharing your failed attempts also on that other thread (?)
