Is there a way to unzip a backup file, extract a .ne5p Program and find out what instruments and/or samples were in it?
Can I just rename it as an .ne5pbu Bundle that I could then download to my Electro?
Or do I have to reload the entire backup file and examine it myself...

I‘ve read somewhere here at the forum that the bundle files are standard zip files which you can unzip with all common unzippers at your PC. Change the file extension to .zip. Then just load the ones you wish with Nord Sound Manager.
Cheers from Germany

You should be able to rename the file extension of the bundle to *.zip (or add *.zip) and then use the content with Nord Sound Manager. One problem could be that you might not be able to identify the programs - they probably don't have their initial program number in their file name.

So they only way to create a Bundle is to download one from the Electro.
You can't somehow extract one from an unzipped backup file?

No you can't, bundles can only be restored as a whole.
The only way is what was mentioned before: renaming the bundle file's extension to .zip and unzip it, then take the indidual elements needed from that and upload to your Electro with NSM
