Right balance between 2 boards

Hi you all

I play the keys on a NS3 and Montage in an allround coverband. I’m always a bit struggling to balance the volume between the to boards.

I’m wondering how you guys take care of this. By the way, I send just one line to the mixer guy. So he can’t mix the volume of the boards separate.

First, make sure you are using an external mixer for your boards, and not using the "monitor" input of the NS3. And I hope you are sending stereo to the sound person.

Balancing output between different programs (or boards) takes some work and is never perfect. I prep ahead of time by comparing program voice levels, but only get it 90% right. On the NS3, I'd use volume pedals to adjust. On my NS4, it makes all the sounds, so I use the panel faders which are great.

Once I do the initial tone and volume programming, I set everything at unity and have a volume pedal for each instrument for fine adjustments when playing live-
