Substitute button greyed out on Sound Manager

I apologize if similar posts asked this. I did search, but didn’t see an answer that addressed my dilemma.

I have a new Electro 6 73, and wanted to upgrade to an XL version of a chosen grand piano. In order to audition several of the XL versions side by side, I deleted a bunch of uprights, digital grands etc. in order to make room for 4 XL files. I chose the one I preferred (White Grand) and then deleted the other XL grands. Of course now I have a bunch of programs where the pianos associated with them are “not found”. I thought the solution would be to use the “ substitute” button on the sound manager to address the programs that are showing in yellow, but it is grayed out. Why is this? Would I be better off doing a factory reset and start over, or is there an easy way to replace pianos on a large number of programs rather than one by one?

Another issue is that I’m too new to the Electro sounds so am not sure which pianos were used in the originals. I’m not sure what I’m missing.

Rookie mistake, but solvable I’m sure.

TIA,
Rich

Replacing a piano by another one only works as such. Don't first delete a sample and then try to replace it - what's not there anymore, can't be replaced.

Restarting with a factory reset would probably be the easiest way.

missing samples can be replaced, they do not have to be replaced before they are removed.
