My SoundManager (WIN10) came up with the Info, that there is a Firmware Update old Electro5 (respect).

I had 2.02 running for long time and wondering, what changed had been done on this (older) product.
Unfortunately the only Info I found is "Windows updater is now bundled with installer for Nord Keyboards USB Driver v4.x".
Does anybody have an info, what had been changed between 2.02 and 2.04?


Strange - out of the sudden my former issue on my WIN11-Laptop and the NordDriver+NordSoundManager, where the NE5 could be found from Windows but not from the SoundManager (no connection possible - I used my WIN10 instead), had solved itself after months yesterday without any new changing or updating anything

I think that is the only change they made. They did this same update for the Wave 2 a while back, only change is adding that driver-

You must be right - but why the change from 2.02 to 2.04 instead of 2.03?
In the end. I´m just glad the Nord system still works and my WIN11 issue is solved also...

Well... Working once with a Product-Management and Development Section, I saw such thing could happen... I guess they just finished 2.03, when an upcomming problem (or just the new Sound Manager) requires 2.04. ... Who knows... I just accept the working solution... And my old NE5 is running on my WIN11 system now... Customer´s happy - goal achieved...

I've never seen a Nord upgrade with an odd number - aren't they always even?

Yes, at least for the Stage series from Stage 2 EX onwards which was my entry point to the Nord world ....

Right, probably because making an upgrade ending with an odd number would... sound odd?

(Serious, maybe they use odd numbers for internal/test releases and even for official ones )

That's exactly what I presume: internal version, official release...

if you don't use windows, is there any reason to upgrade? (i'm always a wee bit skeptical of upgrades on an old device).

Not sure if this was there before but there is a vibrato 1, and 3 now along with Pan 3.
