Yamaha FC7 incompatible pedal message

My Stage 4 gives an Incompatible pedal message on my Yamaha FC7. Weird thing is I have the same pedal at home where it works perfectly. Anybody knows what to do?

I've never seen that sort of message. But do you have the exactly same pedal at home where it works or is it only the same type?
Then, I'd suggest checking the resistances at the end of the cable (the jack). Maybe, the cable is broken.

Check also that you plugged it into the right input (CtrlPed) and not maybe by mistake in the Sustain one.

I've had that with a stage 4.
It was a faulty FC7.
The jack had been replaced with a right angled plug, It was the wiring in this that was at fault.

I recently had this problem occur sporadically and then the FC-7 pedal stopped working...my tech guy found a bad connection and we replaced the cable which might have gotten damaged over the years.
