Saving Samples for Different Modules

I have a Nord Electro 6D and recently created and loaded my own 2 samples onto it using the Sample Editor software. I noticed that both samples appear in the synth module. But, since I can only play one sound from each module at a time, I can't put both samples in the same program. Is there a way to set one sample for the synth module and one for the piano module so both samples will be able to be available in the same program?

No, this is not possible. You’ll have to pick the one you want for the program and make two different programs. The engines are not compatible like that. You’d need a Stage or a way to sample both things together into a single .nsmp file.

One way to do this would be to create a new .nsmp file in the sample editor with both your original samples mapped to the key ranges you need. Then load this new sample into the synth module.

Totaly right! This is what all those providers are selling as ready-to-play Programms for Cover-Songs in just one sample. As the Electro can only offer one single sample, you have to "built" the sample with all your requested sounds in. Fortunately, the Sample-Editor let you map them together or to different zones on the keyboard - no matter if dual or split layered. It could also make sence, to re-sample them on your own (I just did - interesting...). You just need to work careful about the volume between each.

If you need assistance, you could contact me or I map in for you in the Editor...

Hi M_a_c,
If you have time I need your help.....(as you suggested :) .
I'm playing the Nord Electro 6D and want to use two samples at one time using the split function (keyboardleft: strings / keyboard right the bluesharp). So I want to use two already excisting sounds/samples from the Electro.
Is there a (simple) way to create this? I was trying to use the Editor but that's a maze for me and too complicated.
So if you have a small manual/description of the steps I have to take you would help me very much!
kind regards, Paul

Well... We need the Editor at last, since we like to program the samples to the upper and lower side of the keybed...

Okay - first question that determines the further process: Those two samples - are them from your own? Then we could load the required sampled keys from your wav.files to the desired part of the Keyboard...

If these samples are from Nord (or OEMs) and you do not own the .wav-files for them, we need to re-sample the one to the upper and the other to the lower keys...

With that you should already think about, what part of the original Sounds you like play (more in bass, in the middle or more in diskant) since later on the Electro (61?) you have only 2-3 Ocatves of it and we should sample exact in these desired Octaves...

Plus you need to fix the relation between both sounds: You will only be able to adjust volume for both at the same time - it's one sample with a split sounding.

Of course - you´re right!
