As an owner of an old but excellent keyboard, you’ve encountered an issue where the piano section sounds misconfigured. The error message you’re seeing now is “Sect chks error, Ready for update,” which replaced the initial error message. Despite performing a full OS reinstall and uploading factory sounds, the problem persists.

Regarding the internal battery, Nord keyboards don’t actually have one. Instead, they store everything in flash memory, eliminating the need for a battery. So, the issue likely does not involve the flash memory on the main board of your instrument, unless for the Nord Stage Classic, there was an exception on this model, but I haven't found anything in this regard.

Using Disk Utility on macOS or some other can help or can solve this? Any suggestions?

I am afraid the only suggestion is to take it to a Nord authorized service center to have the mainboard checked, unless ... try to run the OS update again and then restore the Factory backup, if still in error then taking it to service is the only way.
