Led issues with Stage 4

Hi folks,

Some months ago I bought a Stage 4 88, the keyboard version I got is the v1.4. Recently, some leds on the organ section have been starting to dimly light up, while the section is turned off. Some of them even turn on/off depending on what other parts of the keyboard are used. I have a couple of videos shared on drive at the bottom of the message showing it.

I sent the keyboard to be serviced through the official distributor. The repair place called and said that this is "normal" and nothing is wrong with it, also adding that with enough light around me I wouldn't even see it :| . They claim to have checked other stage 4's, and this happens on them as well. Now, I have played other nord products (not stage 4 tbh) and it's the first time I see something like this. While this issue doesn't seem to affect the functioning of the keyboard, it's a bit disappointing to have these defects showing up just a few months after purchase. It's like buying a new car, noticing scratches on a panel, and being told that while you are driving it you don't see them, and that they don't affect functioning.

I haven't received any official quotes from nord themselves claiming that this is expected, and I'm concerned that I'm being "gaslit" into thinking that there is no issue with it. My question to other Stage 4 owners is, do you also have this defect on your keyboards, is this normal, as they claim?

Cheers.

Hello, I was curious and looked up my nord. Yes, indeed, if I turn off the light in the room, the LED in the vib/chorus section is dimmed. And if I switch buttons in another section, they also switch in vib/chorus. But I think it's not a problem at all)

If I remember correctly, there already was an issue like that with other Nord models last year or the year before - leaking voltage seems to be something typical for the used circuits.

It’s the same with my NS4C but not as bright as in your video. I’ve just checked.
When turning the piano section on, the third percussion and V1 LED are glowing a bit, but very subtle. I don’t see it at daylight.
Probably something we have to live with.

Thanks for the answers :) I guess I got unlucky then, as I could see them being lit with normal environment lighting.
