Help: Nord 27 pedal working w/ Roland FP-30x

Hello forum! I want to make my mostly-new Nord 27 pedals work with my Roland FP-30x. Got them off of Ebay. It appears to work just fine when I plug in the power. Light goes on, and blinks in response to input. So I'm assuming I didn't get scammed.
The trouble is the cables. They seller didn't include the 5-pin midi cables that supposedly come with them, and the FP-30x uses an 8-pin connection. I do have a double 8-pin cable for the Roland, but that doesn't help much. This leaves me with the options of either looking for a 5-pin to 8-pin cable, or daisy chaining.
I haven't been able to find the former, and the latter is tricky because of male vs. female ends and potential compatibility issues. What are your thoughts?

You might see in the manual what this Pedal2 jack is for. In any case, it is not fro MIDI. The FP30x doesn't feature DIN-MIDI connections.

I'd guess the pedal is useless for you. But you might ask a Roland specialist. As far as I've heard, the Nord pedal will send on MIDI ch 3. The rest is to be sorted out on the Roland side.

And even if you would be able to connect the pedal - I'm not that sure that you can use a split configuration for the pedal sound.

Apparently the FP30x has MIDI over bluetooth and USB only, perhaps the bluetooth is compatible with the Roland WM-1 wireless bluetooth MIDI receiver (I doubt it), but you should check that with a Roland user forum, or on their website. Hope you get it working, lots of fun playing!
Cheers, Albert

That input is for the Roland triple pedal unit, not MIDI (as you can read on its manual).

As others already said the FP30X does not provide a MIDI DIN IN, so you need a USB MIDI Host with MIDI DIN/IN OUT (the famous Kenton, or cheaper ones like this one or similar) which will enable the Nord Pedals to connect directly to the FP30X.

Alternatively, if you have a computer with a MIDI Interface in your setup, you can connect both the FP30X (via USB) and the Pedal 27 (via MIDI DIN) to the computer and use a MIDI Routing app to send pedal 27 data to the FP30X

also the FP-30x is a digital piano, not an organ or a hybrid including an organ engine (different from the likes of Nord Electro/Stage, Yamaha YC and others) so I wonder if there is any support at all for an organ midi key pedal like the Nord 27 pedal keys?

I also struggle to see a 27 pedals organ pedalboard under a Digital Piano, but the OP mileage may vary; anyway since FP30x is 16 parts multitimbral and GM compatible, technically speaking it is not a problem to find some good timbre to assign to the pedals on MIDI CH3 (but timbre selection on that Part will have to be done from a Computer or a midifile, see https://support.roland.com/hc/en-us/art ... X-via-MIDI )
