For some time now, samples are no longer been played in the NORD Sample Editor.

When I select a sample and press the PLAY or the SPACE button (Play Audio file from start marker), I hear nothing. There is also no cursor movement in the sample view as I used to know it. The only thing which is moving or changing is the button symbol from "PLAY" to "STOP".

I also tried it with old project files where it worked, but here too, in vain. Also checked the audio settings in the configuration menu and they are OK. The entire application was also reinstalled on my Macbook, but without success.

Has anyone had such an experience or can anyone offer a solution for it?

Solution found:

In the Macbook Air settings under SOUND, the output setting (speaker…) had to be selected again (even though it was already correctly selected), then the sample playing function also works again in the NORD Sample Editor.
