Hi. Does anyone have any idea how to achieve the wahwah effect in the first verse of the song?

Around 0.20 is what I mean

It sounds like maybe an EP sound with a slow phaser. The effect is very wet. It may be a Rhodes type sound or even a DX7 tine piano with a fairly bright bite to it. There was a preset on my Yamaha S90 called "Sweetness" that was very close to this sound, though the phaser wasn't pulsing quite so strong.

This could be made on most any of the Nord Stage or Electro series with some experimentation across EP sounds and the phaser FX.

Thanks for the tip. Due to my life commitments, as well as this is a very last-minute song change, I don't have the time to sit down and think or work out what the sound is supposed to be. It's actually for tonight so I will try and play around later hopefully I will get the chance to, and report back how it goes (or rather sounds).

I only managed to play around a bit, but it is definitely the phaser effect that is key to the sound. Just need more time to experiment with it. Thank you very much for the help.

Keep in mind that phasers have a huge amount of parameters that will change the effect, and NS3 gives you very limited control. So don't expect to get it spot on. AND: the effect the record is always synced to the tempo, which is not possible on the Stage 3.

If you want it spot on (which I think would be unnecessary anyway), I would recommend sampling it from the song or replicating it on your computer and sampling to the Nord.

Hi folks,

have just listened briefly and only once, my first thought was Wah-Wah pedal, then it even doesn‘t matter if it’s a guitar or synth sound, reverb is a must.

If it helps it’s free ;-)
